REVIEW: Uncork California at the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

Published: March 1, 2024

We’ve been making our way through the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! And we’re heading to a booth that we’ve been looking forward to all day.

2024 Uncork California Booth

We are visiting the Uncork California food booth at 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.

Menu

This booth is ALL about the wine! 🍷 There’s an almond cake on the menu, but other than that, it’s allllll drinks.

2024 Menu

So, pinkies up, because we have wine toasts to sip! Let’s dig in!

Eats

First up, we’re grabbing one and only food item, the Raspberry Almond Cake.

Raspberry Almond Cake

This is a new item this year, and is simple, classic, and elegant, just what you’d expect from a wine booth. It’s an almond cake with raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries. We thought it tasted almost like a muffin top with delicious raspberry flavor sprinkled throughout! The cake was dense but very moist, and the mousse on top was fresh and tart. The raspberry flavor really shines through.

Yum!

You can pick this treat up for $7.50.

Let’s take a look at drinks.

Drinks

We know this is a wine booth, but let’s be real, we’re here for the mimosas! And what’s better than one mimosa? Well, three of course! Let’s start sipping on that Springtime Bouquet Mimosa Flight.

Mimosa Flight

This flight has three different floral and Springy mimosa options. First the Chrysanthemum Mimosa with Prosecco with lemonade and rock melon and chrysanthemum syrups. This one really just tasted like Prosecco and…nothing else. There wasn’t anything super special about it, and we wished it had had a more exciting flavor.

Next up is the Hibiscus-Rose Mimosa, made with Prosecco with hibiscus tea and rose syrup. This one was much better! It had a great rose aftertaste that was muted when we sipped it but really came through later on.

Mimosa Flight

And finally, the Apricot-Lavender Mimosa, made with Prosecco with apricot purée and lavender syrup. This was the sweetest of the bunch. It was very floral, so we think the flavor could be divisive. If you usually shy away from floral flavors, you’ll definitely want to avoid this one, but we liked that it had a more unique flavor than the other two options in this flight.

Pick up this flight for $18.

And finally, another Springy cocktail, the Rosé Margarita.

Rosé Margarita

This margarita is made with Blanco tequila, rosé, lemon juice, white peach and agave syrups, and cantaloupe purée garnished with a lemon wheel. The flavor that stands out the most in this drink is definitely the tequila. It’s not overpowering, but if you don’t usually like tequila, you’ll want to avoid this drink. The melon is very subtle, and we found ourselves searching for another flavor that could really be the star of this drink. In general, we wouldn’t recommend paying $17 for this one.

OVERALL

Since this booth is known for its drinks, we were kind of surprised to discover that our favorite thing was actually the cake! The drinks let us down a little bit — we think there are better cocktail options at this festival. But if you’re in the mood for something sweet, we definitely recommend that Raspberry Almond Cake.

2024 Full Spread

That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
