REMINDER: Expect Major Crowds in Disney World This Weekend!

These days, you never really know what sort of crowds you’re going to be dealing with in Disney World.

Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!

Sometimes we expect a totally empty park and are met with intense crowds, and other times it’s the opposite. Even though crowds can be unpredictable, so it’s good to prepare for the worst — and if you’re heading to Disney World this weekend, you might want to do just that.

The runDisney 2024 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will take place from February 22nd to February 26th, 2024! Registration has been full for a while now, but we wanted to remind you that there will likely be some pretty intense crowds in the parks and around the rest of Disney World this weekend.

One of the perks of running in a runDisney race is that you get to run through the theme parks and even backstage! Even though the races start early in the morning, longer races like the marathon can impact the parks. This means that it may take longer to get where you’re going, and you might have to deal with some pretty congested areas and long wait times.

If you’re planning on using Genie+, make sure you make those Lightning Lane selections as soon as you’re able to so you don’t miss out on the rides you’re most excited about! For folks staying at Disney World hotels, Early Entry might be a good idea — and those at Deluxe Resorts can take advantage of Extended Evening Hours on select nights as well.

There will also be an exclusive merchandise release as part of this event at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex during the following dates and times:

Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024: 10AM – 8PM
Friday, Feb. 23, 2024: 11AM – 7PM
Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024: 11AM – 3PM
