Mural Repainting Underway at Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Magic Kingdom

Published: February 20, 2024

Good afternoon from Magic Kingdom, where we’ve noticed that Disney is working on repainting the trim murals for Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. The work is taking place in phases, with high-resolution tarps hiding (most of) the sections under refurbishment. The work appears to be a refresh and repainting of the murals on the 107-year-old attraction. The attraction remains open and operating, with work taking place during overnight hours.

Here’s a look at the work!

If it wasn’t for some of the wrinkles in the tarp, it would almost be unnoticeable thanks to the high-resolution imagery printed on the tarp. It’s one of the better cloaking efforts we’ve seen at the parks.

One section was uncovered, revealing an unpainted base.

Here are a couple of wider looks at the tarp and unpainted section.

In the photo below, a refreshed section is seen to the left, and an untouched section to the right. We’ll zoom in a bit to make it easier to see the difference in a few photos.
